Audio:
Lexie is self-employed. She buys run-down vintage cars, restores them and then sells them online.

Visual:
A scene appears with a woman in overalls. She is in a car garage. She is holding a wrench. A classic car slides up from the bottom of the screen. An orange circle pulses up in the top left corner and a mouse icon clicks on the “$” sign sitting inside it. Items in the garage scene then slide off the screen.

Audio:
Additional to her own business, she also works part-time at her friend’s café at the weekend, earning a salary and wage.

Visual:
A new scene appears with Lexie in it. It’s a trendy café and she’s working there. A blue circle pulses up with the letters “P.A.Y.E” in it.

Audio:
Part of her income comes directly to her, while the other part is reported to Inland Revenue by her employer.

Visual:
The previous garage scene slides in – splitting the scene in half, Lexie is in the centre of this split screen. An orange pie chart animates out above her head and section of it fills in blue and flashes.

Audio:
Lexie always found it frustrating that when she was filing her income tax return (IR3 form), she had to add in her employment information even though her employer provided to Inland Revenue on a monthly basis.

Visual:
A new scene slides in, covering the entire view, its Lexie at home sitting at a desk on her computer. An IR3 form containing employment info slides down from the top of the screen. Red boxes (where employment info is located) flash red.

Audio:
Lexie is happy that she no longer has to include her salary and wage income as this information is already included on her Income Summary.

Visual:
A new Inland Revenue desk scene slides in from the right over the top of Lexie. A new form slides down called “Income Summary”. Yellow information icons pulse out of the form and travel across the scene into the computer of the Inland Revenue worker.

Audio:
Inland Revenue now messages her requesting she goes online and completes her return, including any missing information. The online experience has also got better as she can now upload all the information with a click of a button.

Visual:
A new scene appears with a computer on a desk with a blue background. A circle pulses up on the computer screen, it has a “message” and “!” icon inside it. This symbol fades out and is replaced on screen by a scrolling iR3 form. At the bottom of the form is a button with the words “Enter” on it. We see the mouse click the button. The screen fades to teal.
